Malaysia Dependent Pass Visa Eligibility Criteria
Dependent Pass Malaysia allows you to bring your dependents if you are:
- Employment Pass holder Category 1 (in a key role in the company and earning RM10,000 or more per month).
- A holder of Employment Pass Category 2 (with a monthly salary between RM5,000 and RM9,999 in a managerial or professional position in a company).
- Malaysia Student Pass holder pursuing graduate and doctoral studies in a Malaysian university.
Family members of employees with an Employment Pass Category 3, Temporary Employment Pass, or Professional Visit Pass cannot apply for a Dependent Pass.
Dependent Pass Malaysia applications are not permitted for Student Pass holders enrolled in BA studies or lower, or in language schools.

Malaysia Dependent Pass is available to Employment Pass holders under the following circumstances:
- Application for employment pass along with
- After receiving approval for the employment pass

After a student pass has been issued, a Malaysian Dependent Pass can only be applied for. Malaysia Dependent Pass applications are handled by your educational institution on your behalf. How to Apply For a Malaysia Dependent Pass?
- Visit the website of the Malaysian Visa Application Centre (VAC).
- Download the application form and fill in all the details.
- Proceed to book an appointment at the VAC for the application submission.
- Visit the appointment center with the application form, documents, and the fees.
- Submit your application at the VAC.

Dependent Visa Processing Time Malaysia

Malaysia Dependent Pass Requirements
- Photographs of the applicant (two passport-size photos taken recently)
- Passport (must be valid for at least 12 months)
